More Food + Shopping
Still eating, as always.
San Soo Gab San
So let's start with afterprom (not mine). My friend Sara and I went to Korean BBQ and FEASTED. Side dishes for daze and bugolgi & kobe beef (we like meat). Delish and this place was open until 1 AM so it was perfect. Quick service and cooking it ourselves was so much fun!
Homemade German Pancake with bacon, Gruyere, and herbs
Good, but not as fluffy as Walker Bros' Dutch Baby. Reheating it later made it a little chewier as well. But definitely a good thing to know how to make. yum yum
Flat Top
Because YUM. Apparently this is not common nation-wide. You're missin out, Denver. Chicken & beef, rice, double egg, cheese, roti bread but put on WAAAYYY too much sauce. Someone guide me in the ways of saucing your stir frys plz. :(
H&M
Really love this dress. Love the X pattern and the little mesh detailing on the front. Zipper closure on back. Perfect for summer, and it's in my favorite color!
Urban Outfitters
I was so surprised these shoes were on sale for $10! But i'm really excited. Loving the leather-ish toe. The gold eyelets and the double stacked platform gives these plain sneakers an extra oomph. It makes it different and i love them i am soooo excited to wear them!

Home for the Food
So I got home last Thursday and all I've done is eat... surprise surprise
The Bongo Room (Wicker Park)
I went to the Bongo Room with Tasha for my first meal back. I got heath & banana pancakes and Tasha got a breakfast sandwich. The pancakes were SMOTHERED with a sweet, sweet praline cream. It was a bit too much and the whole dish was just very rich and very sweet. Tasha's sandwich was good, but nothing special (however, the potatoes were ON POINT). Overall, a bit overpriced for just an average meal.
HUB 51
Braised beef shortribs and roasted pork shoulder with bacon and apricots. Good as always.
Walker Bros. Original Pancake House
Dutch baby & bacon. Seriously some the best bacon ever. Thick-cut, right amount of bite. Perfection.
Maggianos
Uh this may have been my second time in a week. Bowtie Aglio (carefully avoided the sun-dried tomatoes), stuffed mushrooms (they're a bit on the saltier side, so of course I like them), and the always delish beef medallions with crispy onions. Tiramisu and toasted pound cake with caramelized bananas (one of my fave desserts). Delish, as always. Family style at this place will be the death of me.
Miss Asia
Lunch with Lalita over what else- samosas and veggie soup. I didn't realize this earlier, but this is a completely vegetarian meal. I actually got mistaken for one of...them. Don't worry-I haven't actually crossed over to the dark side, the samosas are just really good (and not spicy!), and the veggie soup is perf (the broth=amazing!)
Wow Bao
I didn't realize how big of a deal Wow Bao was to non-Chicagoans but apparently it's a pretty big deal. BBQ pork bao & a teriyaki chicken bowl. So0o0o filling but tooooo good. But then I went shopping after so I totally worked it all off, right?
