If I Lose Myself Tonight...

I love this song, I love Alesso, and I am loving this video. I really like the fashion in this video too. I really like the outfit with the beanie, the dark grey star shirt, green anorak, denim cutoffs, tights, and black booties. So cute, why can't it be fall now? ugh.

More Food + Shopping

Still eating, as always.

San Soo Gab San
So let's start with afterprom (not mine). My friend Sara and I went to Korean BBQ and FEASTED. Side dishes for daze and bugolgi & kobe beef (we like meat). Delish and this place was open until 1 AM so it was perfect. Quick service and cooking it ourselves was so much fun!

Homemade German Pancake with bacon, Gruyere, and herbs
Good, but not as fluffy as Walker Bros' Dutch Baby. Reheating it later made it a little chewier as well. But definitely a good thing to know how to make. yum yum

Flat Top
Because YUM. Apparently this is not common nation-wide. You're missin out, Denver. Chicken & beef, rice, double egg, cheese, roti bread but put on WAAAYYY too much sauce. Someone guide me in the ways of saucing your stir frys plz. :(

H&M
Really love this dress. Love the X pattern and the little mesh detailing on the front. Zipper closure on back. Perfect for summer, and it's in my favorite color!

Urban Outfitters
I was so surprised these shoes were on sale for $10! But i'm really excited. Loving the leather-ish toe. The gold eyelets and the double stacked platform gives these plain sneakers an extra oomph. It makes it different and i love them i am soooo excited to wear them!

Home for the Food

So I got home last Thursday and all I've done is eat... surprise surprise

The Bongo Room (Wicker Park)
I went to the Bongo Room with Tasha for my first meal back. I got heath & banana pancakes and Tasha got a breakfast sandwich. The pancakes were SMOTHERED with a sweet, sweet praline cream. It was a bit too much and the whole dish was just very rich and very sweet. Tasha's sandwich was good, but nothing special (however, the potatoes were ON POINT). Overall, a bit overpriced for just an average meal.

HUB 51
Braised beef shortribs and roasted pork shoulder with bacon and apricots. Good as always.

Walker Bros. Original Pancake House
Dutch baby & bacon. Seriously some the best bacon ever. Thick-cut, right amount of bite. Perfection.

Maggianos
Uh this may have been my second time in a week. Bowtie Aglio (carefully avoided the sun-dried tomatoes), stuffed mushrooms (they're a bit on the saltier side, so of course I like them), and the always delish beef medallions with crispy onions. Tiramisu and toasted pound cake with caramelized bananas (one of my fave desserts). Delish, as always. Family style at this place will be the death of me.

Miss Asia
Lunch with Lalita over what else- samosas and veggie soup. I didn't realize this earlier, but this is a completely vegetarian meal. I actually got mistaken for one of...them. Don't worry-I haven't actually crossed over to the dark side, the samosas are just really good (and not spicy!), and the veggie soup is perf (the broth=amazing!)

Wow Bao
I didn't realize how big of a deal Wow Bao was to non-Chicagoans but apparently it's a pretty big deal. BBQ pork bao & a teriyaki chicken bowl. So0o0o filling but tooooo good. But then I went shopping after so I totally worked it all off, right?

Raise Your Weapon

Today's outfit:
Cutout skelly top: DIY
Leather short shorts: Target
Denim shirt: Target
Necklace & Ring: H & M

I though it was supposed to be warm today so I wore shorts.... it was actually a little chilly. I kind of wish I had cut out the skull a little smaller and higher up so that one could actually see the teeth but it's a little late for that. I bought these accessories at H&M yesterday, a little obsessed with the ring. It was a pricey $7 too! (it came with another one which I'm sure will show up on a post soon).

ok bye.

02102013

Yesterday, some friends and I went to Olive Garden (because we're fancy college kids) and then I went out a little afterwards, these are the results of both of those things:
Some breadsticks (obviously, i ate 7.....) and some delish chicken and shrimp carbonara (a little disappointed with the amount/lack of bacon but whatever its cool). Moral of the story is i <3 carbs.

Wore this out, got many compliments on this thrifted jacket (but shit, I was 99 cents! - sorry i had to...) and some black skinny jeans from Forever 21 that I LOVE because they make my legs look fabulous (and kinda skinny) but they are a pain to get on/off. My Sam Edelman booties are must-they are wedged with buckles, very comfortable. And my trusty (and drug deal-y) black beanie from the Urbz.

Guilty Pleasure

No, not that kind of 'Guilty Pleasure'...

...but guilty as charged, I enjoy watching Disney Channel's Shake it Up only for the fashions (not because it 'takes place in Chicago'...) I think Bella Thorne is gorgeous and I love her red hair:

ok so aside from my obsession with her red-but-not-quite-ginger-y ability to pull off blunt bangs and always have those effortless loose curls, i'm impressed by her and her co-star Zendaya's ability to pull off the colorfully layered look... I mean they are like 16 so obvs if i wore most of these things, it would look horrendously tacky. But I shan't lie, i like looking at their clothes, it's fresh and exciting.

I mean so maybe they're a little tacky sometimes but the concepts are what I like about them. I have always loved layering and I can never get the layering prints thing right, so I like seeing these clothes. Although I don't particularly like this show, I like the clothes and would probably wear a large portion of them :)
